Life Beyond School was birthed out of the experiences and desires of Dr. Ifunanya S. Anyanwu (Dr. STM).

Ifunanya is a medical doctor, an internationally certified project manager, and a data analyst whose online brand name is Dr. STM. She is the founder of Novaros Care and the country director of Heal for Africa Initiative.

She strongly believes in people living their possible best lives and reaching the best heights that their talents and skills can afford, regardless of their gender. She was privileged to grow up in a supportive and exemplary family; however, beyond her family’s borders, she has experienced and also seen other females whose possibilities and opportunities were limited simply because of their gender. It is out of this experience and her desire to make life navigation easier for other young, brilliant, and promising females that she created this mentorship programme to give them extra information that can help them, especially in their careers.

She acquired her medical degree in 2016 from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University where she graduated as the best in her class and equally bagged several reputable awards. She also has several certifications in public health, data management, and project management from reputable international bodies including the University of Washington, the West African Institute of Public Health, and the Project Management Institute.

Ifunanya is passionate about seeing women excelling and breaking boundaries in their fields, hence you’d commonly see her involved in projects that promote gender equality. Outside work, she enjoys singing and partaking in various outdoor sports especially volleyball or table tennis, and if you catch her glued to the television, then it’s likely an action movie or a sports show.
